HE WAS a member of The La’s, whose enduring song ‘There She Goes’ has rarely left the airwaves these last 20 years, and he was the founder/leader of Cast.
He is John Power, the Liverpool singer-songwriter who will play a solo show at Monroe’s Live this Sunday at 9pm.
As well as his tenure with The La’s, Power’s band Cast enjoyed success during the Britpop era with songs like ‘Alright’, ‘Walk Away’ and ‘Sandstorm’.
Power has also enjoyed solo success and won critical acclaim for his headlining role as John Lennon in the stage musical Lennon.
