Sweeping success for SuperValu stores in Galway

Eleven SuperValu stores in Galway have been awarded with the Supreme Excellence Ireland Quaity awards.

These SuperValu stores completed the SuperValu National Hygiene and Food Safety programme which is independently audited by Joe Comerford, with the Supreme Hygiene Award identifying and rewarding retailers that have performed to a consistently high level over a three year period.

The stores include: McCann’s SuperValu Moycullen, Fennell’s SuperValu Indreabhan, McInerney’s SuperValu Loughrea, O’Toole’s SuperValu Tuam, Kavanagh’s SuperValu Clifden, Minihane’s SuperValu Gort, Flynn’s SuperValu Turloughmore, O’Meara’s SuperValu Portumna, Heneghan’s SuperValu Glenamaddy, Nestor’s SuperValu Oranmore and Fr Griffin Road.

Four other stores in the Galway region, Nestor’s SuperValu Ballybane, Clarke’s SuperValu Barna, Hughes SuperValu Claregalway and Dunne’s SuperValu Ballinasloe, were presented with the Excellence Ireland National Hygiene and Food Safety Certificate, which is an independent verification of the highest standards of operational hygiene and food safety in the food sector business.

SuperValu has a well-deserved reputation in implementing and maintaining meticulous quality and food safety standards and SuperValu should be very proud to receive this highly distinguished accreditation.”
