Galway short film gets festival screenings

THE WEATHER Report, the Galway Film Centre/RTÉ short film, received its premiere at the recent Belfast Film Festival and will be screened at the Limerick Film Festival tomorrow.

The film, featuring the IFTA nominated Edward MacLiam (Holby City ) and Marie Ruane (RAW, Foxes ) centres on a mysterious phone call that questioned a routine weather report by lighthouse keeper Ted Sweeney. It was written and directed by Paul Murphy and produced by Deirdre de Grae (Two For Joy Productions ).

The Weather Report has been nominated for three awards at the Limerick Film Festival (Best Camera, Best Director, Best Short Film ) and it has been chosen for the Corona Fastnet short film festival in Schull in May.
