Former ‘Off the Rails’ presenter and fashion designer Sonya Lennon will judge the ‘Red Carpet Award’ at this year’s Irish Fashion Innovation Awards which take place in the Radisson Blu Hotel Galway on Thursday April 17.
The ‘Red Carpet Award’ recognises glamour and style among the audience members attending the prestigious event with the most glamorous lady winning a weekend for two at the award winning Ice House Hotel in Ballina, Co. Mayo.
Sonya, who has last year launched her own fashion label with former 'Off the Rails' colleague, Brendan Courtney says, “given the theme of the awards I will be looking for a lady that displays an innovative approach to her personal style”.
She adds that “its my first time coming to the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards and I am really looking forward to seeing the fashion and style both on and off the catwalk.”
Patricia McCrossan of the Goldenegg Fashion Awards says the Fashion Innovation Awards are a “fun night to dress up and enjoy the best of Irish fashion - a very glamorous night indeed!”
Last year’s winner was Orla Sheridan, a fashion tutor at Galway Technical Institute who successfully launched a career as a personal stylist following her win.
