Discounts this April with Standún in aid of Galway Simon Community

This April Standún Spiddal have teamed up with the Galway Simon Community to help raise awareness and funding for homeless people in Galway. For the month of April, they are encouragingpeopletodonateany unwanted or unused clothes. Standún are kicking things off by hosting a coffee morning on Saturday April 5 between 11am and 2pm in aid of the Galway Simon Community at their store, located in the heart of Connemara and just 12 miles from Galway City.

All are welcome and everyone is encouraged to donate. This is an ideal opportunity to get involved with a local charity while browsing the best in Irish and International products and experience how Standún marry traditional and contemporary design.

Since 1979, the Galway Simon Community offers a spectrum of care for homeless people through permanent housing with full time care, transitional housing with supportive services and support enabling people to rebuild their lives after experiencing homelessness as well as support to avoid homelessness.

Offering supportive services to meet therapeuticneeds,Galway Simon Community’s vision is one of a society which enables and empowers people to have a home appropriate to their needs.

Standún are encouraging people to donate a bag of unwanted clothes to this worthy charity this April. For every bag donated directly to the charity, the Galway Simon Community will be offering a free tea or coffee with a delicious cake in the café at Standun. For every item of clothing donated directly to Standún Spiddal,they will receive a 20 per cent voucher off all non-reduced items in-store.

With over 20,000 visitors, 68 years, three generations, this family business Standún, has gone from strength to strength. The department store, located in Spiddal in Connemara, sells ladies fashion, menswear, children’s fashion, gifts, homeware, Aran Sweaters and more.
