BEARDYMAN – DJ, producer, and entertainer – brings his Eat Sleep Shave Repeat Irish Tour to Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh on Thursday April 3.
Beardyman, who has been called the “king of sound, ruler of beats,” by BBC1 Breakfast, and “like Bobby McFerrin on Speed” by the Evening Standard, is promising audiences a rip roaring, beat filled and lavishly improvised gigs.
A Beardyman creation starts with a beat or random vocal, layers more beats or random vocals, throws in technological bleeps on top, and you end up with something that makes you want to dance and makes you wonder how he did it.
The Londoner (born Darren Foreman ), enjoyed a major hit last year with ‘Eat, Sleep, Rave Repeat’, a collaboration with Fat Boy Slim and Riva Starr. He has also finished work on his second album, due out this summer.
Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
