Top shoe styles

What are the best dressed feet wearing this season? Court shoes, according to Brown Thomas. The toe shape is pointed, either short which has more vintage appearance, as seen at Saint Laurent Paris or the “long nose” at Kurt Geiger.

Matching the ready-to-wear colour trends, basic pastels, nudes and vibrant brights are seen throughout.

Lower heels are winning over super high and a more restrained aesthetic is essential. Sandal styles include the single sole which features plenty of attention to detail and is quite pretty as seen at Carvela or the much chunkier, heavier edged styles.

Casual flat styles see the biggest change with the comfortable driver trend replacing the ballet slipper as the much loved staple. Carpet slippers are also being replaced, so look for the new Skater style, as seen at Nine West.

To mark the new season ahead Brown Thomas will also host a number of public events:-

Limerick model agency boss and fashion stylist Celia Holman Lee will give a free workshop with Max Mara on Saturday March 15 while stylist Lisa Fitzpatrick will conduct one with Bastyan on Saturday March 22. The workshops take place on the hour every hour from noon to 4pm.
