HAWK, THE band led by Galway born singer-songwriter Julie Hawk, have been sending critics into paroxysms of praise filled purple prose.
“A bit on the Bjork side of brilliant bonkers,” says Artrocker; “Hawk may be the big breeze inside London right now, but with this music, one predicts the country will soon be under their spell,” declared Ringmaster; “It is like a battle for supremacy between light and dark,” mused Americana UK.
Galway will be able to see for itself when Hawk play Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh on Thursday March 6 from 8pm. The band are currently promoting their EP The Sum of All Things.
Support is from My Fellow Sponges and Harrison & The Devil. Tickets are available through www.roisindubh.net and on the door.
