BAILE AN Salsa, the exciting Galway based Irish trad/Latin music fusion band, play two shows across Galway city and county over the coming week.
The band play the Kinvara Mardi Gras this Saturday, in the Kinvara Community Centre from 8.30pm. They return to Galway city on Saturday March 7 to play a free show in Monroe’s Live at 9pm.
Baile an Salsa perform original material in a trad style. Andres Martorell, the lead vocalist and founder, brings melodies from various styles including salsa, rumba, flamenco, and sean nós.
Over the past 12 months the band have released a debut EP - which charted at No 2 in Colombia recently; Radio PIN (Poland ) featured one track as its Song of the Week. The EP also won notice in Australia and Asia, where Baile an Salsa songs have been played at salsa festivals in Singapore and China. The band are working on their debut album.
