A CHILD prophet is taken from a basket sent drifting down the Liffey. A young girl clutching a dolly is taken from her home.
Meanwhile a man in a superhero cloak hides from the streets he once thought to save, and woman steps out onto the street to sell the only thing she thinks she can.
This is Dorset Street Toys which will be staged by Fregoli Theatre Company in the Nuns Island Theatre on Friday March 7 and Saturday 8 at 8pm.
The play, written by Rory O’Sullivan with the company, and performed by Kate Murray and Aron Hegarty, is provocative, harsh, but also moving exploration of love, lost childhood, and the Dublin streets.
Tickets are €12/10. See www.fregolitheatre.com
