Van Morrison’s bassist for Monroe’s

DAVID DEE Moore, the former bass player for Van Morrison’s band, plays a solo show at Monroe’s Live this Sunday at 10pm.

Morrison is a perfectionist and notoriously tough on his musicians, so to be even allowed on stage with him is praise indeed.

On the night, Moore will play songs from his debut solo album The Sun, the Moon, and other Moving Objects. An upbeat folk record, with touches of country, Americana, and Irish balladry, it was described by British folk magazine FATEA as “beautifully sung, played and produced, it’s a gift which will go on giving for some considerable time”.

Admission is €5.
