With more than 65 clubs in Ireland, the ISA Mitsubishi Motors Club of the Year Award is presented to the club that has developed initiatives and activities to significantly grow membership and community inclusion, raise the profile of the sport, and improve safety standards. Galway Bay Sailing Club prides itself as being an all-inclusive, all-year club, with active groups in most areas of sailing. Last year the juniors were joined by a new teens section, the dinghies had their premier Dart 16 fleet, while the off-shore racing continued its success with Discover Ireland in the Fastnet. The club's cruising sailors formed the largest gathering with the Aran Island rally and 2013 also saw the accessible sailors hold their first series ready for the ISA Nationals in 2014.
