Independent advice on debt is vital to get the best deal for you and your family, according to Reform Alliance senator Fidelma Healy Eames who is hosting a public information session on mortgage and debt solutions on Monday February 24 at 7pm in the Oranmore Lodge Hotel.
“Feedback to me strongly suggests that people need help to resolve debt issues. Special guest on the evening will be David Hall, Irish Mortgage Holders and local solicitor Geraldine Costello & Associates. Also in attendance will be representatives from MABS and other personal insolvency experts.
“It is important for people to know they are not alone. One in every five homeowners are in arrears, a total of 7,500 homeowners in Galway, and most alarmingly, 75 per cent of those in arrears are at work.
“People clearly need help to resolve debt issues and make the best decision so they can get on with their lives. That is the purpose of this event,” said Senator Healy Eames.
The event is free with expert advice given on various subjects. Everyone is welcome to attend the event which will take the format of a one hour public session followed by free 10 minute consultations with David Hall and other personal insolvency practitioners in attendance.
