Liam Mellows holds its annual registration day on Sunday (February 16 ) from 11am to 1.30pm.
The club promotes hurling and camogie on the east side of the city, and new and old members are welcome.
The club is looking forward to another successful year, having won county silverware at boys u-13, u-14 and u-16 in 2013, along with a first trophy for the club’s junior camogie team in the County “B” Shield.
This year plans are advanced to add a floodlit hurling pitch to the three astro-pitches, hurling wall and juvenile pitch, which were completed two years ago. It also plans to upgrade its clubhouse.
The club’s full time schools coach, Timmy Hammersley trains 500 children weekly at Scoil Cathriona Renmore, Gaelscoil Dara, Tirellan NS and Menlo NS, in addition to providing free/subsidised camps and other benefits to club members.
