Ardrahan reach All Ireland camogie club final

Adrahan will meet defending champions Milford in this year’s All Ireland Senior Club Camogie Championship final after an impressive six-point victory over Kilkenny champions Mullinavat. on a score-line of 2-8 to 0-8.

Rebecca Hennelly and Keelin O’Shaughnessy struck the crucial goals to help the Galway side to a 2-8 to 0-8 win.

Team captain Rachael O’Toole also played a key role in the victory, while Andrea Mullins, Edel Holland and Cliodhna Walsh also impressed in attack.

In defence Aoife Lynskey and Shauna Healy were steady and repeatedly repelled the Kilkenny girls.

It has been remarkable progress for Mike Carr’s side. Only two years ago Ardrahan came out the wrong side of the intermediate final against Derry’s Eoghan Rua.

In the intermediate championship, Ballyhale Shamrocks snatched victory over Portumna by 2-3 to 0-7.
