Learn to go online for €20

The Learning Institute, Galway, has been successful in securing funding from the Irish Computer Society, and as a result the institute is now offering a range of computer courses for beginners for just €20.

Participants will be taught how to make use of the internet, send email, use internet telephone services like Skype, and do shopping and banking online during four two-hour classes through the Get Ireland Online programme. Everybody will benefit from this training, but it is especially suitable for unemployed people, disadvantaged groups, and anyone lacking in basic IT skills.

The Get Ireland Online programme aims to ensure that no one is left behind as the country gets increasingly digitally savvy.

Morning and evening classes will run from mid-February. Each participant will attend one two-hour class per week for four weeks, for a total cost of €20. Class sizes are limited so book early to reserve a class that suits you.

Laptops and free parking are provided for all participants.

For more information about the courses, or to reserve a place, contact The Learning Institute (Bohermore ) on 091 761 111 or email [email protected].
