The Coronas to play Big Top gig this summer

The Coronas, one of Ireland’s most popular rock bands, will play the Galway Arts Festival Big Top in the Fisheries Field on Saturday July 19.

The bill for this ‘Galway Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh presents...’ concert also features the highly regarded, emerging Irish indie band Walking On Cars.

The Coronas are currently at work on a new album, following sold-out live shows across Ireland and in Britain in 2013. Over the past five years they have won the 2010 Meteor Best Album Award; become the biggest-selling independent group in Ireland with three albums; played numerous festivals; and supported Paul McCartney in the O2.

Walking On Cars debut single ‘Catch Me If You Can’ stayed in the Irish charts for more than 20 weeks and reached No 1 on the iTunes chart. Their debut EP As We Fly South was produced by Tom McFall who has worked with REM, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party, and Editors.
