ELAINE MAI, the multi-talented singer-songwriter is to release her new single ‘EDC’ on Monday February 10.
Elaine first came to attention as a Galway based artist, crafting haunting melodies layered over vocals harmonies, beats, and acoustic guitar work, looped to make this solo performer sound like a full band and choir.
Since the release of her debut EP Dots in 2012, there has been a steady evolution in her music, with the focus moving from the acoustic to the electronic, and from the guitar to beats and synths, without compromising the essential ‘Elaine Mai sound’.
‘EDC’ is the first track from her forthcoming second EP Known/Unknown. Elaine plays Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh on Thursday March 20 at 9pm. Admission is free.
