GLORIA IS divorcée who has no interest in being alone or letting her age stop her from going to a whirl of singles’ parties on the hunt for gratification.
It all leads to disappointment and emptiness though, that is until she meets ex-naval officer Rodolfo. Their relationship presents unexpected challenges and Gloria gradually finds herself being forced to confront her own dark secrets.
This is Chilean film Gloria which will be screened by the Galway Film Society in the Town Hall Theatre this Sunday at 8pm. The title role is played Paulina García who won the Best Actress award at the Berlin Film Festival 2012.
