MOSAIC, A creative arts class which seeks to promote critical and creative thinking in children through education and artistic instruction, will be held in the Galway Art Centre.
The classes, aimed at five to 12-year-olds, takes a hands-on approach to learning with a focus on problem solving and self-expression. Pupils will also engage with the group exhibition, Nine, which opens this weekend at the Galway Arts Centre, and which looks at what it is like to be nine years old.
The tutors are Marina Healy, Elmarie Collins, and Louise Spokes. A number of eight weeks classes have been programmed for the first term of 2014 including Saturdays starting January 25, for juniors (10am to 11.30am ), seniors (12.30pm 2.30pm ), and an after school class starting Wednesday 29 (3.30pm to 5.15pm ).
