“I CAN think of nothing better than lying in a field listening to Zervas & Pepper. Perfect festival music.” So declared the BBC’s Mark Radcliffe.
Zervas & Pepper, the English duo of Paul Zervas and Kathryn Pepper, are coming to Galway. While, unusually for the city, it is not a festival period, nor is lying in a field in January to be recommended, Galwegians looking to check out the pair’s “sunny cosmic folk rock” can do so within the Róisín Dubh on Wednesday January 22 at 9pm.
Inspired by Richard & Linda Thompson, John Martyn, and The Byrd’s Gene Clark, Zervas & Pepper have enjoyed rave reviews with Stuart Maconie describing them as “so sweet and heady are their harmonies, you owe it to yourself to check them out”, and Sir Terry Wogan declaring them “absolutely wonderful”.
Admission is free.
