Over the past 100 years St Mary's College, in its steadfast delivery of a first rate educational experience to its student body, has perpetually kept pace with the needs of the times in which it served.
Over the last number of years the unveiling of a state of the art sports centre, purpose built classrooms in the areas of art, home economics, technical graphics, languages, career guidance, and computers, along with modern catering facilities, are all testament to the ever changing demands of a modern education system, and St Mary's ability to deliver on those demands.
Students benefit from the use of high quality data projectors in every classroom, which display not just text, but video streams and online content. All this is possible through a connection upgrade that delivers high speed broadband and the establishment of two state-of-the-art computer labs for students.
New conference and reception rooms are also equipped with the latest IT technology, and substantial financial investments have facilitated these developments. Such advances reflect the emphasis the school places on making all of its students IT literate, in an era when the demand for such skills is at its greatest in Ireland and worldwide. All pupils have access to new, modern, computer suites. It is the aim of St Mary's College to give its graduates 21st century skills that will afford them the opportunity to work in an area that promises employment opportunities into the future.
All prospective students and parents are welcome to attend St Mary’s open evening on Thursday January 16 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
