Andrew Maxwell announces new Irish tour

Double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, Andrew Maxwell, will return to Ireland touring his new show Banana Kingdom. With this blissfully funny show, Andrew will cover most of Ireland taking in 27 venues across the country, and will visit Galway on Saturday March 15 at the Róisín Dubh.

Packed full of fearlessly intelligent topical observations, delivered in his animated and inclusive style, Banana Kingdom recently completed a sell-out run in one of the Edinburgh Fringe's biggest venues (playing to more than 10,000 people ) and a hit run in London's Soho Theatre.

Maxwell has garnered high praise in recent times, with The Independent calling him “one of the most significant comedians working in the country today”, while The Times has described his new show as “fiercely funny and utterly invigorating”.

Andrew has sold out every Edinburgh run since 2005, playing to some 70,000 comedy fans in that festival alone. A familiar face on TV screens, the talented comic has starred on RTE’s The Panel, One Night Stand on the Dave channel, and on BBC’s Live at the Apollo, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats, John Bishop's Only Joking, and Celebrity Juice on ITV2.

Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
