ROBIN HOOD and his band of merry men will fight the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham in this year’s Renmore Pantomime.
The 35th Renmore panto, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, scripted by Peter Kennedy, will be performed in the Town Hall Theatre on December 29 and 30, and January 1, 3, 4, and 7 - 11 at 7.30pm. There will be 2.30pm matinees from December 29 - 31 and on January 1, 4, 11; and 12 noon and 4.30pm matinees on Sundays January 5 and 12.
The Sheriff of Nottingham (Karl O’Doherty ) plots to eliminate the Babes (Alexsaundra Watson and Cillian O’Donovan ), who stand between him and the English throne. He is also out to capture Robin Hood (Declan Gardiner ) by holding Maid Marian (Jenni Flaherty ) hostage.
Expect appearances from Nurse Polly Pampers (Peter Kennedy ), Simple Simon (Shane Cunningham ), Friar Tuck (Nicky Lawless ), Alan A’Dale (Richard Brown ), Lady Jane (Alana Power ), Helen Hood (Hannah McCreanor ), the Lords of Court (Kevin Griffin and Tara Spelman ), Crazy Old Woman (Amanda Stuart ), and Kindly Gent (Paul Hughes ).
The show is directed by Brian and Seán Power. Gerard Madden is the chorus master, and Katie Upton and Declan Gardiner are the choreographers.
