‘A Taste of the West’ Christmas market supports local producers

A Christmas market, ‘A Taste of the West’, will take place on Sunday December 15, from 2pm to 6pm in the Connemara Coast Hotel, Galway.

The market is open to the public and will showcase local and regional seafood, baked goods, preserves, confectionery, beverages, and more. A Taste of the West is an ideal opportunity to sample local produce and pick up quality gifts for the “foodies” on your Christmas list.

A Taste of the West has been organised by the Skal Club of Galway, with the support of the Galway County Council. Skal Galway is a regional branch of Skal, an international tourism organisation, and has organised this not-for-profit event as part of its Christmas celebrations.

“Skal Galway wanted to do something to support the fantastic producers and suppliers of the region, who are doing so much to promote the west of Ireland as a quality food destination,” said president of Skal Galway, Eimear Killian.

“We are delighted to host this event in the Connemara Coast Hotel in partnership with Galway County Council. We hope that the people of Galway will stop by on December 15 to discover the amazing produce on offer, and support these local and regional businesses by buying some Christmas gifts on the day.”
