The Galway Rape Crisis Centre will host Strictly Connemara in association with the RNLI Clifden and with the assistance of Connemara Chamber of Commerce, on December 6 in the Station House Hotel, Clifden.
The purpose of the event is to raise much needed funds for the charities involved and raise awareness about the GRCC outreach service which is now available is the Clifden area.
There has been strong interest in this very high profile event. There will be Miss Galway, model Shahira Barry, the Galway players among the dancers, not to mention several members of the Connemara RFC, some well known local faces, and some local and national politicians.
The even will be streamed live on the dedicated website, www.strictlyconnemara.com and text voting will be available so friends and family from all over the world can vote for (or against ) their favourite dancer.
