The Albanian Ambassador Mal Berisha will be in Galway next week, where he will meet the Mayor, visit NUI Galway, and launch a photographic exhibition.
Ambassador Berisha will be in Galway on Monday, where his first engagement will be a meeting with the Mayor of Galway Pádraig Conneely in City Hall at 10am. The meeting will be attended by other representatives from the Galway city and county councils, members of the Albanian community in Galway, and medics from University Hospital Galway who are volunteers of the Irish Friends of Albania Foundation.
Afterwards Ambassador Berisha will meet the president of NUI Galway, James Browne, at 1.45pm
At 5pm, the ambassador will be at the Galway Education Centre to launch a photographic exhibition on Albanian history. The exhibition is dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the Independence of Albania. Albanian independence was proclaimed on November 28 1912.
