New bi-lingual children’s book

A NEW children’s book as Gaeilge agus as Bearla, Greene’s Shoes Saves Christmas/Shabháil Bróga Greene An Nollaig, is to be launched with proceeds going to the Galway Simon Community.

The book has been put together by Greene’s Shoes and staff, family, and friends to mark its 50 years in business in Ireland in 2014.

The book is set around two naughty elves - Tommy and Bow - who have damaged Santa’s shiny black boots. Santa must then be transported to Greene’s Shoes to get the perfect pair of boots.

Greene’s Shoes Saves Christmas will be launched on Friday November 22 in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop, Middle Street. The book costs €5 and all sales will go straight to the Galway Simon Community and its work for the homeless.

The book will be on sales in various bookshops, retail outlets, and filling stations around Galway and Mayo.
