Metallers Electric Taurus @ The Cellar

HEAVY METAL/blues/stoner rock band Electric Taurus are an Irishman, an Italian, and an Argentinean, and they play The Cellar Bar tomorrow at 9pm.

The Dublin based trio - Matt Casciani (vocals/guitars ), James Lynch (bass ) and Mauro Frison (drums ) - cite Cream, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Kyuss, Sleep, and Soundgarden as their inspirations.

Their debut album, Veneralia, was released in 2012 on Italian label Moonlight Records and is available to listen to/buy on Bandcamp. According to Stephen O’Connor from Born Again Nihilist blog:

“The album showcases what a subtly excellent rhythm section Lynch and Frison are...allowing Casciani’s guitar parts room to breath. And they are massive parts, his tone damn near perfect, helped by an array of custom made pedals. This is the heavier side of retro, the parts the revival brigade skip over, the voodoo and evil of classic heavy doom metal.”

The event is organised by HexenHaus Promotions and Desert Rock Ireland. Support is from Pilgrimage and Weed Priest. Admission is free.
