THE MINUTES have been hailed as “the greatest rock’n’roll band in Dublin” by influential UK magazine Artrocker.
Galway will have a chance to see why when the band - Mark Austin (vocals/guitar ), Shane Kinsella (drums ), and Tom Cosgrave (bass/vocals ) - play Monroe’s Live this Saturday at 9pm.
The Minutes’ urgent, fuzz-laden, garage rock, as heard on debut album Marcata, won them support slots with Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, and The Stone Roses. They have also recorded with Garth Richardson, whose client roster includes Rage Against the Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
As well as playing tracks from Marcata, the band will also road-test tracks from their forthcoming sophomore album.
Support is from The Vincents. Tickets are available on the door, through www.monroes.ie, or 091 - 583397.
