NORTHERN IRISH band Alright The Captain have been sending music critics into paroxysms of purple prose of late, as they attempt to capture the essence of the trio’s sound.
“The instrumental rock stylings of Alright the Captain veer from ‘jazz odyssey’ moodscapes to fist-making stadium-rousers,” said CultureNorthernIreland; while Drop D raved about their “meandering, hypnotic passages and crunching cacophony...[and] a multitude of math-laden riffs and arrangements”.
Alright The Captain headline upstairs at the Róisín Dubh tomorrow from 8pm as part of an impressive bill which also includes the mighty Galway based duo It Was All A Bit Black & White, Christians Vs Lions, and Pigshakle. Admission is €5
