ANIMATION, TV presenting, and visual effects workshops will take place during the Junior Galway Film Fleadh which runs from November 13 to 16.
Introduction to visual effects, with Galway based graphic designer Leon Butler, will show how to create Hollywood style effects, such as time remapping, green screen croma key, and compositing in after effects, easily and quickly. The class takes place on Saturday 16 from 2pm to 5pm. Age 13+.
For those aged nine+, there is the introduction to stop motion animation on Saturday 16 from 10.30am to 1pm. Artist and animator Denise McDonagh will introduce budding animators to the art of stop motion using a cut-out style on coloured paper.
For those with some experience of animation, there is the fun with animation workshop (nine+ ) on Thursday 14, 10.30am to 1pm, with animator Edith Pieperhoff. Participants will learn how to create their own character and bring it to life.
Other workshops include presenting for TV with TG4; Special FX make up for film and TV; and acting for the screen with Galway actor Emma Eliza Regan.
