SHOSTAKOVITCH’S SURREAL comic opera about a Russian official whose nose runs away and gets into all manner of scrapes is to be screened at The Eye Cinema.
The Nose will be broadcast live, via satellite, from The Metropolitan Opera in New York, to The Eye Cinema on Saturday October 26.
William Kentridge’s production of The Nose is already a huge hit in New York and was described by one critic as “Shostakovitch meets the Keystone Cops”.
