Jemson Green @ Monroe’s Live

IN A ERA when everything is alt-, post-, sub-something it is refreshing to hear a band like Jemson Green declare: “To hell with sub-genres! We are a rock band”.

Their music is a straight ahead mix of good songwriting and hard-rocking guitar. The band’s 2012 debut single ‘Growing Stranger’, a brooding piece of crunching yet melodic rock, was described by Hot Press “as compelling and irresistible a rocker as you’ll hear all year”. Their debut album will be released in the near future.

Jemson Green play Monroe’s Live tonight at 11pm. Support is from Derek Ellard. Tickets are €5 and available on the door or through www.monroes.ie and 091 - 583397.
