A Halloween Family Fun Day is being held on Sunday October 27 at the Green Briar Bar in Moyvilla, Oranmore, in aid of the Help Emma Beat It fund.
Emma Naughton-Heavey is a 17-year-old girl from Moyvilla who is suffering from a rare form of cancer, fibrolammellar hepatocellular carcinoma, more commonly known as fibrolammellar. This cancer requires specialist treatment which is only available in the United States. Emma and her family have visited a specialist treatment centre in the US for scans and on-going treatment. This regime is set to continue for the foreseeable future and the Help Emma Beat It fund has been set up by friends and supporters to help finance the treatment.
As part of the fundraising efforts the Halloween Family Fun Day will be held next Sunday from 2pm until 6pm. The Fun Day will consist of a barbecue, bouncing castles, kids disco, mega Halloween games, and raffles for valuable prizes. Children are encouraged to attend in fancy dress and join in all the fun on the day.
This promises to be a day of superb fun with lots to entertain the adults as well as the children. Tickets are €10 per family with all proceeds going to the Help Emma Beat It Fund. All children’s entertainment is free, so an enjoyable day is guaranteed. For more information follow the Help Emma Beat It fund on Facebook or log on to www.helpemmabeatitfund.ie
