See Thérèse Desqueyroux on Sunday

POPULAR FRENCH actress Audrey Tautou plays the title role in Thérèse Desqueyroux which will be screened by the Galway Film Society this weekend.

Thérèse Desqueyroux was married off in her late teens to the chauvinistic and casually anti-Semitic Bernard Desqueyroux. Discovering that Bernard’s daily heart medicine contains arsenic, she starts to discreetly increase the dose. The film is based on the novel by Francois Mauriac.

The film will be shown in Town Hall Theatre this Sundays and start at 8.15pm. For tickets contact 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
