Disco don makes Galway debut

GREG WILSON, the legendary disco don and edit master, will make his Galway debut when he plays the Róisín Dubh tomorrow from 11pm.

Coupling an unrivalled knowledge of all strands of black music and an innate knack of knowing how to get any floor moving, Greg remains at the DJing forefront as he was when he started his Wigan Pier and Legend (Manchester ) residencies in the early 1980s.

In the eighties he was one of the first DJs to bring New York disco, hip-hop, and electro to Britain, while in the last 10 years his Credit To The Edit compilation and his Essential Mix for Radio 1 in 2009 has make him one of the most popular DJs in the business.

Tickets are €10 and available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG, Shop Street (formerly Zhivago ), and The Róisín Dubh.
