DIXIE WALSH rose to fame with such classic songs as ‘ The Jumbo Breakfast Roll’ and ‘Where Did My Money Go’, and his story is chronicled in I Am The Band.
I Am The Band is the new show from the multi-talented and much loved comedian Pat Shortt, and Galwegians have two chances to see it.
The I Am The Band tour starts in the Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort on Saturday September 28 (for tickets call 091 - 635333 or see www.ticketmaster.ie ) and returns on Saturday February 8 in the Ballinasloe Town Hall Theatre (for tickets see www.townhalltheatre.ie ).
The show has already enjoyed great acclaim, with The Financial Times calling it “wickedly funny”, while the London Evening Standard praised its “gloriously ghastly fund of anecdotes and barbed remarks”.
