Connemara kickboxer Bryan "Mayhem" Merrigan, who fights out of the Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing club, will make a mandatory first defence of his IKF All Ireland Super Welterweight K-1 title to tough Muay Thai fighter Dave Walsh from the renowned K2C Gym in Cork.
The title defence will take place on Saturday evening in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway, and will be the main event of a 15 fight card which will include three international contests.
The main event will see Galway’s European kickboxing champion Gary "Slick" Manogue taking on British No 1 contender Gareth Evans from Kent in a warm-up fight ahead of his upcoming World Title fight at the end of the year.
Doors open in the Menlo Park Hotel at 6.30pm with the first fight scheduled for 7pm.
Tickets are available from the Black Dragon Gym, the fighters, the Menlo Park Hotel reception or a limited number at the door on the night.
