POETRY WORKSHOPS for beginners, intermediate, and advanced, will be given by Galway poet Kevin Higgins in the Galway Arts Centre.
Each workshop runs for 10 weeks. They will take place on Tuesdays, 7pm to 8.30pm (first class September 24 ), Thursdays, 2pm to 4pm (starting September 26 ); and Fridays, 2pm to 3.30pm (September 27 ).
Tuesday and Friday workshops are open to beginners as well as those who have been writing for some time. The Thursday workshop is an advanced poetry workshop, suitable for those who have participated in poetry workshops before or had poems published in magazines. The cost to participants is €110.
Kevin Higgins is the author of three collections of poetry - The Boy With No Face, Time Gentlemen, Please, and Frightening New Furniture, all published by Salmon. His next collection, The Ghost in The Lobby, will be published in early 2014, also by Salmon.
