ARTISTS FROM Denmark, France, and Ireland who work in clay and ceramics, will exhibit in The Niland Gallery, Merchants Road, this month.
FLUX - Exhibition of Contemporary Clay, curated by Rob D’Eath and Kate Howard, opens on Thursday September at 7pm. The exhibiting artists are Susanne Hangaard (Denmark ), Valérie Delarue (France ), and Claire McLaughlin, Owen Quinlan, and Sarah Ryan (Ireland ).
FLUX is designed to build on the language of contemporary clay in Ireland and to help develop a critical dialogue in ceramic exhibition making.
There will also be a lecture and seminar by Susanne Hangaard at The Centre for Creative Arts and Media GMIT Monivea Road, at 10.30am on Thursday 19. Admission is free.
The exhibition runs until October 13. Gallery opening hours are 1pm to 6pm, Wednesdays to Sundays.
