RSAG @ Róisín Dubh

RSAG. (aka Rarely Seen Above Ground, aka Jeremy Hickey ) is an Irish multi-instrumentalist hailing from the Kilkenny who has been making waves since 2008. Although rarely seen, Hickey will play the Róisín Dubh on September 12 at 9pm.

His explosive live set and a double album release, Organic Sampler, has showcased his impressive talents. His album debut received a five star review from The Irish Times as well as gaining a Choice Music Prize nomination for Irish Album of the Year that same year.

Hickey then returned with his Leo Pearson-produced follow-up album, Be It Right Or Wrong, in 2010. Be It Right Or Wrong was performed entirely by Hickey and was recorded in Leo’s studio in Thomastown, Kilkenny. Leo Pearson is a leading remixer, programmer and producer, and has worked with many big names including U2, Elvis Costello, and Howie B.

Since the success of his albums and live performances, RSAG. has appeared at several music festivals around Ireland including Electric Picnic, Oxegen, and Castlepalooza, and has previously starred on the RTE television series Other Voices.

Live, RSAG. plays drums, percussion, and sings and will tour around Ireland in June.

Entry is free on the night.
