Castero @ The Cellar

Hexen Haus Promotions and Desert Rock Ireland are bringing the ‘Fuzzed Out Sessions’ night back to The Cellar Bar downstairs tomorrow night, with the almighty heavy rockers Castero presenting songs from their new album Revolutions.

Castero are a four piece heavy rock band based in Tipperary. Their music has been called hard rock, heavy blues, stoner metal, and southern metal. Influenced by the likes of Black Sabbath, Orange Goblin, Clutch, and Black Label Society the band mixes old school and new school metal creating their own heavy and groovy sound. As Castero's motto goes: “It's all about the groove!”

Since their formation in 2006 Castero have undergone some line up changes and released a few demos, two EPS, and two full length albums: Consequence of Thought (April 2010 ) and Revolutions (June 2013 ). According to Doom Metal Alliance reviewers “...the passion and drive that are in these songs make it impossible to get out of your head. The riffs are indestructible, the solos are incredible and the production is big and meaty.” People can listen to the tunes on their Bandcamp page and get physical releases through Ripple Music record label and Castero.net

The gig in Galway is part of their Irish mini-tour with shows in Dublin, Cork, and Tipperary. The band's plans for next year include a UK tour and recording a new album.

Castero are famous for their energetic live shows and tomorrow's gig should not be missed by lovers of both metal and rock.

Support is from local bands Weed Priest and Fires of Babylon. Doors open 9pm tomorrow night and admission is free.
