Pat Shortt’s I Am The Band begins Irish and UK tour

Fresh from his recent success starring alongside Daniel Radcliffe as Jonnypateenmike in Martin McDonagh’s The Cripple of Inishmaan, Pat wowed audiences in London’s West End and was critically acclaimed.

Now Pat is back with the final Irish tour and first UK tour of his hit one-man comedy show charting the life of ‘Dixie Walsh’.

Solo lounge musician Dixie invites guests to a tribute night where all his peers and friends (the audience ) come to celebrate his career. During the night, Dixie reminisces about the path his career has taken and the struggles he has had to overcome to get to the top of his game.

Pat Shortt is one of Ireland’s best-loved comedians. As Dixie Walsh, he has had one of the biggest selling number one singles with ‘The Jumbo Breakfast Roll’.

Now Dixie takes centre stage to tell his life story and share his unique style of music with guests in Pat’s show, I Am The Band. Pat Shortt’s quirky interpretation of rural Irish characters brings Dixie’s mother, his teacher, and other locals to life, who queue up to recall their daft memories of Dixie and his music.

I Am The Band is a hilarious look at life on the back roads between Ireland’s famous dance halls, as well as a fitting tribute to one of this country’s true music legends, the great Dixie Walsh.
