Galway Ladies are celebrating success after the minors claimed the All Ireland title by 3-13 to 2-14 after a replay with Dublin last week.
It took two injury-time goals to send the girls into football heaven after a great comeback in Mullingar.
Galway started the replay unchanged after Emilie Gavin won her appeal against her red card and had the Dubs under pressure from the throw in, but once again the two sides were level at the break with Carla Rowe in fine form for Dublin and Louise Ward finding the back of the net, with Olivia Divilly kicking three vital points.
However Dublin scored two crucial goals immediately after the restart and although Divilly kicked four without reply, narrowing the gap to three, time was running out.
Galway, however, showed great commitment. Nicola Ward won a free on the 20 metre line before finding sister Louise who rattled the back of the net. And, when Galway brought on Leann Walsh deep in injury time, Divilly, in one final attack, found Leann who rattled the net with seconds to spare to give the Tribesgirls a two-point victory.
