Voices of Hope to come together for charity concert

Some of Ireland’s leading singers and performers will be lending their voices to a concert in aid of two Galway based charities this September. The Voices of Hope gala concert will take place in the Live Lounge at the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa, Galway, on Thursday September 19 and all funds raised will benefit Jigsaw Galway and Self Help Africa.

Voices of Hope is the brainchild of Cork native Darragh McGann, better known as the Singing Taxi Driver and The Voice of Ireland contestant.

“The aim of the Voices of Hope concert is to bring together Ireland’s leading singers for one night to celebrate hope, resilience, and compassion,” said Mr McGann. “Every single person I contacted said yes straight away, so to have singers of their calibre from all parts of Ireland under one roof will be an amazing night’s entertainment, and all of the performers are giving of their time freely.”

Performing on the night will be Karen Coleman from The Commitments, Galway’s Keith McDonald, Denise Brennan of Riverdance and Women of Ireland, as well as many recent contestants from The Voice of Ireland, which include finalist Shannon Murphy, Clarinbridge native John Gaughan, Aoife McLoughlin, and many more. The house band for the night will be Sean Slattery and the Connections, and Darragh McGann will give a special classical crossover performance.

Tickets for the show are €20 and are available from the reception in the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa or by calling 091 538300. The Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa is sponsoring the Voices of Hope gala concert as part of its Responsible Business month in September.

All proceeds raised go to Jigsaw Galway and Self Help Africa.
