Kory Quinn - the true sound of American folk

PORTLAND, OREGON, singer-songwriter Kory Quinn plays “train-hoppin’, foot-stompin’, hobo-blues,” according to that city’s Eight-Ball Studios’ Rob Stroup.

Kory is coming to Galway to play a solo show upstairs at the Róisín Dubh this Saturday at 9pm.

Jim DeRogatis of The Chicago Sun-Times said of Kory’s music:

“Quinn is one of those whose music not only upholds well-worn traditions but also sounds fresh in the process...In a crowded field of local roots musicians, Quinn stands out as one who’s got his bead aimed precisely at the truth. [He] offers timeless country folk infused with a hint of rock, the kind of music that has been listened to for generations and will remain relevant for decades.”

Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG, Shop Street (formerly Zhivago ), and The Róisín Dubh.
