AUGUST IS proving to be a busy month for County Galway folk/Americana-trio The Whileaways who play three shows over the coming days.
The Whileaways - Gradá vocalist Nicola Joyce, solo singer-songwriter Noriana Kennedy, and solo singer-songwriter and The Cabin Collective member Noelie McDonnell - play support to Americana musician Tim O’Brien in Campbell’s Tavern, Cloughanover tomorrow; The Crane Bar, Sea Road, this Sunday (for tickets contact The Crane on 091 - 587419 or www.thecranebar.com ); and on Monday, they play Whelan’s in Dublin.
After that it is the Tonder Festival in Denmark. Check out the band’s eponymous debut album which has received four stars from The Irish Times and was an RTÉ Radio 1 Album of the Week.
