THE NEW York based Irish writer Seamus Scanlon launches his new collection of crime fiction stories in Galway this evening.
As Close As You’ll Ever Be, published by Cairn Press, will be launched in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop at 6.30pm. The collection has already received critical acclaim. The Irish Echo called it “brief, brutal and on occasion beautiful”, while the Irish Examiner said the stories were “beautifully written shocks of insight and cruelty”.
