Alan Partridge to the rescue?

STEVE COOGAN’S celebrated Alan Partridge character is now to star in his own movie, where the hapless radio DJ/talk show host encounters disaster at an airport.

The new British comedy film Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, is coming to Galway screens on Wednesday August 7.

Partridge’s radio station, North Norfolk Digital, is taken over by a new media conglomerate, it sets in motion a hilarious chain of events which see Alan having to work with the police to defuse a potentially violent siege involving 12 hostages.

Will Alan talk round disgruntled colleague Pat Farrell? Will there be shots fired in anger? Will Alan become a public hero or simply another footnote in the history of broadcasting?
